And run Lola run! She ran, she really did and hooray for her! The year of release is the same as the Rounders', it is 1998. Apparently that year was productive and fruitful, what concerns the good movies.
It is a movie of three rounds. One situation and different outcomes. One problem and multiple solutions. It is a cool action movie with good actors and fine operators. The special effects and all the running scenes are perfectly shot and it seems that we catch our breath only during short periods, when the entire story starts all over.
Plot or How It Was
Manni (Moritz Bleibtreu) calls his girlfriend Lola (Franka Potente) and tells that he lost his boss' money on the train. There was 100,000DM. He saw a bum looking inside the bag and taking the cash. So Manni is in a big trouble. He doesn't want to pay his life for the lost money. And he says "Help me, Lola! I don't know what to do!" he says that he would rob the store across the street.
She starts acting.
She starts running.

She hangs the phone and runs to her father's office. On the way she sees a guy with a dog. It barks at her and she runs faster. She caused a car accident, and one of the drivers was her father's colleague.
Her father works in a bank. She comes up and asks for money but he refuses and he tells her that he leaves his mother to love with his mistress and that Lola is not even his daughter. She runs to Manni but he has already entered the store. She is helping him in robbing. They leave the store and the police is already here and accidentally the officer shoots Lola.
Blink. They appear in bed and Lola asks if Manni loves her. Then she says Stop and everything starts over…

This time Lola trips over the dog and she limps a bit. She enters the bank where the father works and hears a part of the conversation between him and his mistress. The mistress is pregnant by somebody else (wow!) and Lola just decides to rob the father's bank.
She runs with the cash to Manni but he is run over by the ambulance while crossing the street towards her.
Blink. They appear in bed and this time Manni asks if Lola loves him.

This time she jumps over the dog and she didn't cause the accident involving her father's colleague. She missed her father because he left. She runs into a casino and makes a straight bet with 100DM and wins. She bets again on the same number 20. She screams horribly but wins again and she wins 126,000DM, which is 26,000DM more than needed.
She runs to meet Manni but he gets out from the bosses car. Earlier he saw the bum and took money from him. And it means that now they have extra cash.
The movie was nominated for 41 awards with the total winning of 26.
