The Good Thief
The problem with my game is that luck can fall both ways. Whereas, with your game, luck doesn't enter into it.
Bob (The Good Thief)
What can be better than a good thief? It is a movie, which your whole family can watch. Nick Nolte did his best in it. The Good Thief is a remake of the French movie Bob le Flambeur. It is a movie about Monte Carlo and all the things happening there. Nick Nolte plays Bob, aging gambler, who needs to fulfill the last job.

It seems that the actor is not playing but living that guy's life. Every time, when he is talking about himself, it is a completely different story. He lives in Nice, France. And he goes down on his life by crimes and drugs. Once we see a policeman, we realize that he doesn't want to arrest the main hero, but to save him, as he is lost in his own life.
He can't leave that life. His visit to the Narcotics Anonymous center is just walking in and out. It is that kind of movie, where we are compassionate with the bad hero. We like him, as he is good but he wastes his entire life.
He even saves a teenage prostitute from a horrible pimp. As he is a gambler, there are ups and downs. So, he comes to the point, when he has his last money to spend and he really spends them. Actually, he loses them. Then he comes back, chains himself to a bed and eats ice cream and undergoes a disintoxication.
Last Job
And he is ready for the last job. To go and rob the casino. Well, not to take the cash, but the paintings. It is a brilliant performance of brilliant actor and his fellows.
It is much fun to watch it and follow the entire plot to reach the climax. Just like in Rounders, you like the bad guy, who is not actually bad. But it not like Casablanca, where there's much romance and history background but still it is unique.
